She puts her time, patience and heart into every training session and game day. Keely creates a positive learning environment where players feel supported, encouraged and proud to give their best.

Keely's leadership, dedication and sportsmanship provides a great role model to both the players who look up to her and the families & fellow coaches watching on.

In the award nominations, Jocelyn was praised for going above and beyond to support her players’ development, and it was noted that she constantly seeks advice and collaborates with other coaches to benefit the team.

She has a supportive, encouraging, and patient approach, fostering both skill and confidence in players while creating a positive team atmosphere.

Jocelyn’s dedication to her own growth as a coach and her uplifting leadership under pressure, particularly during and after a hotly contested 2025 Grand Final, making a significant impact on her team and the broader club.

Sophie showed exceptional commitment, leadership and maturity throughout the 2025 season. She fully engaged with SLNC's development coaching program, communicated brilliantly with her team and coaches, and taken on every assigned task with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Sophie's support and guidance was been outstanding - she was there every week encouraging players, helping them to improve their skills and was a positive role model both on and off the court.

These are just some of the reasons that Jo was nominated for SLNC's 2024 Coach of the Year:

  • Jo has gone ABOVE AND BEYOND for her team - she's built the best team culture, helped players grow their love of netball & developed a real sense of community!

  • Jo's happy-go-lucky attitude and her passion in encouraging & motivating her players is inspiring.

  • Jo’s commitment to bettering the team and providing a supportive environment for the players to develop their netball has been incredible - she recognises and nurtures each player's individual strengths.

  • Jo has inspired teamwork and elevated a group of girls who did not know each other (and some never having played netball before), into a TEAM in the GRAND FINAL game.

  • We've admired Jo's ability to excel at coaching whilst also working, supporting her daughter's team, being an active SLNC Committee member and leading the Junior Netball presentation team.
